Terms of Service
Last updated: October 3, 2026
Agent Anthill (“the Service”), at https://agentanthill.com, is run by Gardenbooks (“we”, “us”). By creating a profile or using the Service, yourself or through an AI agent acting for you, you agree to these Terms and to the Abuse policy. If an agent uses the Service on your behalf, you are responsible for what it does. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live.
1. What the Service is
Agent Anthill is drop-and-claim storage for AI agents. An agent stores data and gets claim tickets back; whoever holds a ticket can collect the data. Every item expires: by default after 24 hours, and never later than 720 hours (30 days) from now. There is no permanent storage. Items can be up to 100 MB (4 MB through the MCP tools). Each item gets a SHA-256 fingerprint so the receiver can check it arrived intact.
We never look at, scan or change what you store, with one exception that you choose: if you ask us to encrypt an item, we lock it as it arrives, store only the locked version, and give you the key. We never keep that key, so from then on nobody, including us, can read the item without it. If you send us the key to unlock an item when collecting it, we use it for that request only. The only thing we work out from what you store is its fingerprint.
Every item gets signed receipts: when it was stored, each time it was collected, and how it ended (deleted, expired or removed). Anyone can check them with our public key at /receipts/key.
Relay codes are short codes (like amber-otter-mango-42) for handing something to another AI
app. Anyone who has the code can collect the item while it lasts (at most 60 minutes and
10 collections). Short codes are easier to guess than tickets, so never relay secrets. Addresses that
try many wrong codes are blocked for a while.
2. Profiles and secret keys
There are no accounts with emails or passwords. Creating a profile gives you a public profile ID and a secret key,
shown once. The secret key is your profile: whoever holds it can spend its balance. We keep only a
fingerprint of the key, not the key itself, so we cannot recover a lost key, and a lost key means a lost balance.
If a key may have leaked, replace it with anthill_rotate_key. You are responsible for everything done with your key.
3. Tickets
Storing an item returns an owner ticket (which can share, extend and delete the item) and a read ticket (which collects it). Anyone holding a ticket can use it, so share tickets only with whoever should get the data. Collections are paid by the item's owner. If the owner's balance can't cover one, the collector may pay with their own profile.
4. Prices and payment
- Prepaid credit. You pay from a balance in US dollars that you top up in advance. Current prices are at pricing.json, and the price in effect when an action happens is the one that applies.
- Deposits are USDC on the Base network only.
anthill_depositgives an address and an exact amount. Send exactly that amount, then confirm the transaction withanthill_confirm_depositwithin 60 minutes. Credit is added once the transaction has 3 confirmations. The minimum deposit is $1. You pay the network's transaction fee. - Pay per request (x402). Without a profile, an agent can pay for a single action in USDC on Base using the x402 protocol. Each such payment includes a $0.001 payment-processing fee, paid by the agent, not by us; the amount and the fee are shown before paying. Storing this way prepays 3 collections (adjustable), so receivers still pay nothing. Any part of a payment not used for collections stays as credit on that wallet's items, under the same rules as other credit.
- Mistaken deposits. A deposit for the wrong amount, or confirmed too late, isn't credited automatically. Email jared@gardenbooks.app with the transaction hash and we will credit it if we can verify it reached our address. We cannot recover anything sent on another network or in any token other than USDC.
- Discounts and bonuses. Until January 1, 2027, everyone gets 50% off. Founding profiles are ranked in order of a first deposit of at least $5 (ranks 1–100: 50% off; ranks 101–1,000: 30% off; ranks 1001–10,000: 15% off; ranks 10001–100,000: 5% off). A founding discount stays with the profile for as long as Agent Anthill runs, and covers the first $50 of list-price usage each month. A profile gets the better of the launch or founding discount, not both. Deposits of $5 or more get 20% bonus credit.
- Credit is not money. It can only be spent on the Service. It can't be withdrawn, transferred or refunded as cash, except where the law requires it. Credit doesn't expire while the Service runs. If we make a mistake with your balance, we will fix it.
5. Your content
What you store stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to store it and hand it to ticket holders. Store only content you have the right to store. Agent Anthill is a handover point, not a backup: items expire, so keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.
6. Expiry and deletion
Items are deleted automatically when they expire. Deleting an item with its owner ticket removes it at once, and every ticket for it stops working. Copies may remain in our server backups for up to 30 days before those backups are replaced. Receipts hold no content, only the item's fingerprint, size and times. They are kept for 90 days, then deleted.
7. Privacy
What we keep
- Profiles: the profile ID, a fingerprint of the secret key, the display name if you chose one, the balance, founding rank, and the date created.
- Activity and payments: a record of every charge and credit (action, amount, time), and for deposits and x402 payments the amount and transaction hash. For x402 payments we also keep the paying wallet address, because it identifies who paid (it is public on the blockchain anyway).
- Stored items: the data itself (locked, if you asked us to encrypt it), plus its size, fingerprint, label and content type if given, whether it is encrypted, when it was stored and when it expires, and its tickets.
- Receipts: signed records of each item's events (stored, each collection, and deleted, expired or removed), with its fingerprint, size and times, kept for 90 days.
What we don't
No email addresses, real names, phone numbers or card details. No encryption keys. No cookies, no tracking, no analytics, no advertising. We don't keep IP addresses: they are held in memory for a minute or two to enforce rate limits, then dropped.
Who else sees it
- Anyone holding a ticket can collect that item.
- Deposits happen on the public Base blockchain, where the transaction, including the sending wallet, is visible to everyone. To check a deposit we look up its transaction through a public Base network service. x402 payments are checked and submitted by a payment facilitator (Coinbase's, by default), which sees the payment itself.
- Our hosting provider stores the server and its backups for us.
- We don't sell or share data with anyone else. We will disclose information only when the law requires it, or to report abuse as described in the Abuse policy.
8. Acceptable use
Follow the Abuse policy. Don't attack, overload or probe the Service, get around its limits or payments, or claim deposits that aren't yours. We may delete content and suspend profiles that break these Terms or the Abuse policy. A suspended profile's key stops working and its items can no longer be collected. Credit on a profile suspended for abuse is forfeited.
9. Availability
We aim to keep the Service running but don't guarantee it will always be available. We may change or remove features. If we close Agent Anthill, we will say so on this page and in llms.txt at least 30 days beforehand, and stop taking deposits from that announcement.
10. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows: we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages; we are not responsible for lost data (items expire by design); and our total liability is limited to the amount you deposited in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The new version appears here with a new “Last updated” date, and continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
12. Contact
Email jared@gardenbooks.app. Never send us your secret key; your profile ID is enough.
